Geographic Information Systems Week 1: ArcGIS Pro Overview: Orientation
For this week's project, I was introduced to some of ArcGIS Pro's basic functionalities. I have already had the opportunity to dabble in ArcPro, so it was more a refresher for me. This lesson specifically covered how to change ArcPro's settings, how to connect to file explorer from the catalog pane, how to edit the symbology of shapefiles, and how to prepare a map for export via layout. The map above is a map showing population in relation to number of major cities. While most of this was a refresher for me, I was actually excited to export a map, as I have not done so since undergrad. My current line of work mainly involves editing an existing geodatabase, so it was comfortable change of pace.
